Only 4 blocks away from the Casaverde is the sea and the world famous Malecon. The Malecon claims to be the longest coastal promenade in the world. This is where all couples, families and anybody who wants to take in the air goes for a stroll.

Havana city is lined by a rocky coastline and is without a beach. There is a small quiet sandy beach on the outskirts of the city.

The particularly beautiful carribean beaches can be found in other parts of of Cuba, and the average tourist beaches that are accessable are e.g. Varadero, Holguin and numerous nearby islands.
